Public Notice of Proposed Ordinance 

Town of Wilson – Lincoln County

Notice is hereby given that the Town Board of the Town of Wilson will hold their monthly board meeting

on February 10, 2026 at 5 p.m. at the Town of Wilson Town Hall, to consider the adoption of 

Ordinance 2026-01 entitled: AN ORDINANCE RESTRICTING CERTAIN ARTIFICIAL WAKE ENHANCEMENT

The proposed ordinance will prohibit equipment that use or employ ballast tanks, ballast bags or fins that

cause a boat to operate in a bow-high manner. No person may operate a boat in an artificially bow-high manner

to the effect of increasing the boats’s wake. The areas included exist within the Town of Wilson

lakes and segments of rivers and streams.
